Region 4 consists of Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.
I look forward to getting to know those of you that I have not met yet and supporting all of you this year. Here is a little bit about me. My name is Cathie Manning. I am an out-of-region CAT, supporting you all the way from Somers, CT. I've been a New England girl all my life and cherish the 4 seasons. I've been married to my husband for 34 years and have 3 boys 19, 21 and 23. I love animals and hope to be the proud owner of a bernese mountain dog puppy in the next few months. I love to bake and read. I have been a critical care nurse for the last 38 years in a now 32 bed mixed medical and neurologic ICU at a level 1 trauma hospital. As a long time member of AACN, I also have the pleasure of serving as the program planner and President of the Pioneer Valley Chapter AACN in Western Massachusetts. I am excited for this opportunity to assist you in any way I can.
This is also the time of the year when we do our transition and strategic planning meetings including budget and setting up activities for the year. A transition checklist form is available for you and it is located on the aacn.org website.

Zoom Meeting for Treasurers
- AACN has arranged a meeting for Treasurers and Treasurers-elect with the AACN Finance Department staff
- This is your opportunity to learn chapter financial management and ask questions from our experts
- All Treasurers, Treasurer - elects, and Presidents who may need it, are also invited to attend!

Please be sure to include me in your chapter communications, events, and outreach—email is my primary method of communication with each chapter! My role as your Chapter Advisor is to provide support and guidance to you as chapter leaders along with serving as a liaison between your chapter and the home office. Please feel free to contact me for questions about contracts, financial reports, or any chapter issues. I am here to serve you and support you in any way I can. I am looking forward to working with you all!
